The internet is a better way to research and find information.  We have become a very busy society.  Times have changed, and every thing around us is different.  Yes some of us prefer to go to the library and research  for a paper.  Some of would rather go and buy a book instead of down loading it onto their kindle.  I don't think that makes a person lazy, I think that in the time that we're living in their more options when it wasn't before.  It really depends on the person, the same person who didn't like to read or go to the library is probably the same person who doesn't like to surf the internet to research even though they know it's convient for them. The internet is only a distraction if the person behind the computer screen allows it to become a distraction.

I am a person who loves to read but I didn't like to go to the library, though I read books all the time researching for me was only interesting when it's one a topic that I like or could relate to.  Now since I can use the internet the time is shorter and I am still able to have that creativity if I needed.
